There's No Place Like Home - There's No Place Like Home - There's No Place Like Home

Of course we all know who spoke those immortal words, but more importantly, we can all understand the significance of what a home means to each of us. Our home is much more than just a house; it's our place of comfort & sanctuary where our true selves play out a masterful portrayal of who we are; A home is truly our storied place of heart & soul. As the Fall season has crept into our lives and we're starting (slowly) to move the party inside, we're also starting to think about our interior spaces and looking for ways to feather our nests with fresh and inspiring ideas & adornments to express who we are & what we love and to ensconce our families & friends in enough comfort and beauty to see us through to Spring. This week's blog is a collaborative effort between myself & Pittsburgh Writer, Photographer, Designer & Stylist (to name a few), Quelcy Kogel. You may have seen & read her work in Table Magazine or through her own design & style blog, With the Grains.. & hopefully you'll have a chance to see her and her partner, Kyle Pattison in action next week with renowned Pittsburgh Chef Kevin Sousa for their first Pittsburgh Harvest & Gather dinner, Dirt: The Foundation (we'll see you there!).

This week, Quelcy has outdone herself (I suspect for the umpteenth time) with her latest work featured this past Monday in Design*Sponge, where she brings viewers & readers on a tour of Von Walter & Funk's own home in Pittsburgh's historic Highland Park neighborhood.  We both hope you'll be inspired and start thinking about the what, how, where & whens for your own home design journey... Pssst - Try Von Walter & Funk - we'll get you started :)
